Kings Oxford

Pathways to Top 20 UK universities

About

Kings Colleges place the needs of each student at the centre of their entire approach to learning. Kings Colleges create a personalised plan for all students that ensures, with expert guidance and extensive support, they will achieve more than they ever thought possible. Kings' students consistently win places at the UK's top ranked universities, including Oxford and Cambridge. In 2019 over 86% of A-level students received offers from Top 20 universities. Their modern, friendly and intimate colleges are not located within isolated campuses, but within safe, convenient parts of the UK's most popular, internationally-minded cities. Students are closely supported in every aspect of their life, both in school and for the many who join from overseas, within whichever type of accommodation they select.

Kings Oxford

Just 20 minutes by bus from the city center and newly refurbished, Kings Oxford’s main academic campus offers a self-contained college environment that includes a large cafeteria. Art and design students have access to a dedicated studio in the heart of the city, located amongst some of the most well-known university colleges. Accommodation options include a purpose-built and high quality residence just 15 minutes’ walk from the main college site, which is offered to students aged 16 and over. There are on-site kitchen and laundry facilities, plus a full-time live-in warden. Homestay accommodation is also offered.

A-levels in Politics and Photography at Kings Oxford
The teaching at Kings is really inclusive and it’s really custom to everyone’s learning style I guess — especially in Politics, the online students are all really involved, they’re always on the Teams meetings and we all have the same set work to do. And Tina, the teacher is really involved — you can drop her a message at all times if you’re worried about anything.

My job involves trying to fill in the blanks after classes finish for the students. Lots of them are outside of their native countries and in a new, unfamiliar environment and I’m trying to think up some cool new activities that will keep them entertained and hopefully make them some new friends as well during their time in the UK. We have a great art department here for example where people are learning about textiles, photography. Not traditionally academic subjects, but there are plenty of careers in these fields and I see no harm in students enjoying what they are doing as well.

Everyone is really friendly and the education is really good, instead of memorising we actually try to learn something and it makes it work better, so I would definitely encourage my friends to come.
