"I had a great year doing my masters at the UvA, the professors were extremely helpful and were readily available to support with my thesis. My campus was in the city centre with a beautiful library. However the only downside to the UvA and Amsterdam in general is the housing issue. It is really difficult to find accommodation and if you don’t get student housing it is really expensive."

"A very good master’s programme, in which the main theme is conflict resolution at all levels. Since conflict at all levels is at times quite broad, the programme can sometimes be a little general. During the programme you especially learn to negotiate, facilitate, and resolve conflicts. I really liked the broad choice in electives, and the ability to conduct research in the field on a topic you choose yourself. Especially during the thesis, you are given quite some time and guidance for writing your research proposal, which really benefits you when you go into the field (for up to seven weeks), and write your thesis. I would definitely recommend this programme to a friend! "
