My first impression was that this is a happy country. Compared to Korea, I already experience more freedom. I didn’t choose this place because of the rankings of universities, but because of the country. I’m very interested in languages. I have been especially interested in Polish, Hungarian and Dutch. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to visit an Open Day at a university in Korea where there was a Dutch lecture. I’ve been dreaming to go the Netherlands ever since. I think the Dutch language is so beautiful. Especially the g-sound. My favorite word is ‘gezellig’. I learned it doesn’t really have a translation, but that it means something like comfortable, cosy.
