About

Victoria University of Wellington was established in 1897 and is well known for its programs in law and the humanities as well as some science specialties. Victoria had the highest average research grade in the New Zealand Government's Performance-Based Research Fund exercise in 2012, having been ranked 4th in 2006 and 3rd in 2003. Victoria was ranked 215th in the World's Top 500 universities by the QS World University Rankings (2020).

The Victoria University of Wellington Foundation Studies Program is taught by UP International College New Zealand to prepare international students for entry into the Universities undergraduate courses. Students who successfully complete a Foundation Studies program are guaranteed entry to an appropriate Victoria University of Wellington undergraduate degree.
