Testimonials

Victor Ramirez Delgado
Victor Ramirez Delgado
Bachelors Degree
Before Victor had ever heard of the U.S. state of Delaware, he met with a University of Delaware (UD) representative in Caracas, the capital city of Venezuela, where he lived. At UD, Victor realized, he could investigate a curiosity he’d had since he was a child. “When we look up at the sky,” Victor said, “we see where we came from.” He wanted to investigate the mystery of the stars. While only a sophomore, he got a chance to examine of outer space, working in a faculty lab analyzing data from a radio antenna pointed at Jupiter. The team of faculty and students compare the data their antenna receives to those of NASA, looking for unique events, hoping for a discovery. The experience has only increased his passion. When he graduates, he is considering applying for a Ph.D. program in astrophysics.
